The Scaling Bitcoin 2016: Retarget conference has extended its deadline for submissions to September 9th. This year, the conference is offering rolling acceptance in an effort to respond to most proposals before September 23rd. The conference defines "scaling" broadly, encompassing topics such as improving Bitcoin throughput, layer 2 ideas, security and privacy, incentives and fee structures, testing, simulation and modeling, network resilience and latency, fungibility, anti-spam measures, block size proposals, and mining concerns.The Call for Proposals (CFP) was opened on August 2nd and can be found on the scalingbitcoin.org website. Interested parties who wish to submit their proposals have until September 2nd to do so. After the submission deadline, applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by September 23rd. The Scaling Bitcoin 2016: Retarget conference will take place in Milan on October 8th and 9th.
