The Scaling Bitcoin 2016: Retarget conference's deadline for submissions has been extended to September 9th. They are offering rolling acceptance this time around to try and get most responses out before the 23rd. The definition of "scaling" at the conference is broad, including topics such as improving Bitcoin throughput, layer 2 ideas, security and privacy, incentives and fee structures, testing, simulation and modeling, network resilience and latency, fungibility, anti-spam measures, block size proposals, and mining concerns. The Call for Proposals (CFP) opened on August 2nd and can be found on the scalingbitcoin.org website. The conference will take place in Milan on October 8th and 9th.
