To fix the lost state issue, one proposed solution is to make the scripts include `CLTV DROP PKu CHECKSIGVERIFY GETLOCKTIME BIP32DERIVE CHECKTRANSACTIONSIGNEDFROMSTACK` and `2016 CSV DROP PK_si CHECKSIG`. This would require publishing a transaction signed with the BIP32 derived key for upgrading to state M>= N+1 in the future. While this approach results in double publishing of txdata on the chain, it ensures data availability.
