In an email exchange on the Lightning-dev mailing list, Alex P inquired about whether there was a way to bind RPC to IP:port instead of a unix socket. Rene responded, stating that this is currently not being implemented but suggested asking in the bug tracker at https://github.com/ElementsProject/lightning or through the c-lightning mailing list at https://lists.ozlabs.org/listinfo/c-lightning. Rene provided his contact information at the end of the email as well.
