Summary:

On October 16, 2015, Rusty Russell sent a message via bitcoin-dev about the usefulness of the function setmocktime. He mentioned that once more functions start using nTime instead of GetAdjustedTime() for testing, SetMockTime() will become less necessary. He provided a link to a commit on GitHub as an example.
