In a message sent on May 31, 2013 at 11:56 PM, Rune Kjær Svendsen expressed uncertainty about how to proceed with a certain task. Other users recommended queuing outside of bitcoind as a better approach. Zeromq was suggested as a solution for this situation. The blocknotify program could run a program using zeromq's pub/sub to queue and the application could subscribe to this to receive notifications of the data.
