Luke Dashjr has addressed privacy concerns related to requesting specific timestamps, but notes that many wallets lack basic privacy. He has also specified that when from/to don't have an exact record, the previous/next (respectively) is provided to address bounds issues. The "timedelta" field can be used to specify granularity for requests. However, a standardized way of indicating the meaning of user-defined values in the type field would be useful for clients to display a "connection status" warning to users.
