Upon looking at a new proposal, Peter D. Gray suggests that it may be better to simply sign the entire "outputs" section of the PSBT, instead of going through the hassle of covering every byte individually. By doing so, any future BIP additions to the outputs area would also be covered, and it would also assist in non-multisig cases. Peter D.
