Summary:

On July 1, 2011, Gavin Andresen wrote an email suggesting to move forward with Git tip and fix any bugs in the current tip. He also suggested pulling Matt's patch for UPnP, where Bitcoin equals UPnP and Bitcoind does not equal UPnP. Jeff Garzik responded to this email by tagging v0.3.24rc1.
