On July 1, 2011, Pieter Wuille proposed an emergency release of version 0.3.24 for the software. The proposed changes included enabling upnp default and dnsseed default, fixing segfaults related to no-connect, and implementing a block send limit. Jeff Garzik expressed no objections to the proposal and suggested that he could proceed with the release candidate (RC1) after sleeping, assuming that the plan or something similar was approved.
