On January 13, 2014, Gregory Maxwell discussed with Peter Todd in IRC the use of two EC points in stealth address. One for payment and one for ECDH was used to make delegating detection possible and so that spending keys would not have to be online to detect payments. However, it was dropped from the final write-up.
