On February 11th, 2023 at 9:40am EST, Russell O'Connor via bitcoin-dev suggested to sign the entire tapbranch in addition to the tapleaf. This recommendation was made on Github issue #19 created by aj under the Bitcoin Inquisition organization. The term "tapbranch" was corrected to "path to the leaf" by aj.
