Dawid Ciężarkiewicz has shared his project called gobtc, which aims to create a flexible FLOSS Bitcoin peer implementation. The goal is to enable people to participate in the Bitcoin network through their applications directly. The project can be accessed on http://github.com/dpc/gobtc. This post was also shared on bitcoin-dev and go-nuts mailing lists. If anyone is unfamiliar with Bitcoin or Go language, they can refer to Bitcoin.org and Golang.org. Dawid believes that Go language is perfect for writing efficient networking applications, as it provides built-in standard library support for many technologies used in Bitcoin. He encourages interested individuals to contact him regarding participation and even mentions having already been in touch with someone willing to share some working code.
