The FirstBits address system has an attractive appearance but it is predicted to cause a gold-rush for desirable addresses. In terms of security, HTTPS is only as secure as centralized Certificate Authorities (CAs), making it no more secure than TXT records. Despite this, it is believed that some form of address is necessary and cannot be avoided.
