In an email to the bitcoin-dev mailing list, Andrew Chow has proposed a standard format for unsigned and partially signed transactions. However, another member of the mailing list, Bryan, suggested that a thread on hardware wallet BIP drafting may be tangentially related and useful. The link to this thread is provided in the email.
