In a discussion among Gavin Andresen and some merchants on 08/07/2013 at 11:10 PM, Gavin asked if there were any issues with payment processing servers having "broadcast transaction" functionality. However, one of the merchants replied that they would prefer to broadcast the transaction themselves, which is contrary to what Gavin suggested.
