A member of the Bitcoin community, Fred Concklin, expressed his interest in building with autotools as a starting point for ease in installation and testing process. Jay Weisskopf suggested that some work had already been done for autotools but not yet merged into the main repo. Weisskopf shared a link to the pull request on Github, where Concklin could start from. The email was signed by 'fpc'.
