In an email exchange on August 22, 2011, Fred Concklin expressed his interest in two areas of work related to Bitcoin. Firstly, the daemonization of Bitcoin on boot and secondly, advancing the implementation of Bitcoin into general coding paradigms seen on GNU/Linux platforms. However, the person he was communicating with responded that Bitcoin already works fine in this regard using standard tools, and it is especially easy with daemontools/runit.
