A discussion took place on the Bitcoin-dev mailing list in April 2017, in which Gregory Maxwell pointed out that the Bitcoin mining process repeatedly hashes an 80-byte 'block header' while incrementing a 32-bit nonce. However, aj suggested that the word "incriminating" should actually be "incrementing".
