Summary:

Tamas Blummer, the CEO of Bitsofproof, believes that extra encoding for testnet is unnecessary complexity in light of many alt chains. He suggests that BIPS should be chain agnostic. In response to a suggestion by Jan Møller, Matt Whitlock added some prefixes for testnet encodings. The email thread also includes an advertisement for eXo Platform, a Java-based open-source intranet software.
