In a discussion about date formats, Jorge Timón expressed his preference for DD-MM-YYYY and YYYY-MM-DD while disliking MM-DD-YYYY and YYYY-DD-MM. However, it was pointed out that these preferences reflect a cultural bias. The only entirely numeric date format that is unambiguous across all cultures is YYYY-MM-DD according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It appears that no culture uses YYYY-DD-MM.
